Fortune 500 Company seeks a Contract Temporary Events Project Manager.
Salary Range: 20.00 to $25.00 per hour
""As the Corporate Events Project Manager", you will be responsible for the planning and implementation of corporate, field, and ad-hoc meetings and events. Assist Director, Corporate Events with major events as needed. You will also maintain calendar events and research new projects. In addition you will also maintain the budget for current programs and propose ideas for events as well as assist senior managers with program details. You will also be expected to attend team planning meetings and respond to internal customers as well negotiate contracts with hotels/conference centers following company's guidelines.
Some essential functions of this position include: - Pre-event promotion and communication - Air and ground transportation - Housing and room list management - Attendee registration - Food and beverage functions - Supplier management - Venue selection - Audio/visual requirements - Meeting collateral - Budget management - Post event evaluation and communication - An Associates degree is required with specialization in Marketing, Communications or Hospitality Management preferred. Bachelor's degree is preferred. - Minimum 3 - 5 years working experience in a corporate environment - Detail oriented - Fast learner - Able to multi-task - Excellent communications skills - Ability to interact with Senior/Executive Level Management - Excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge of excel, PowerPoint, and word.
